Admission Procedure
1. Admission Notice |
The notification for admission to B.A./ B.Sc./ B.Com. programmes of study for all general degree colleges funded by Government of Tripura is being published centrally in leading local/state daily newspapers in the first week (tentative) of June by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Tripura. Detailed information is notified in the Notice Board of the College. |
2. Admission Criteria |
The criteria for admission to various programs of study are considered on the basis of merit as per guidelines of Tripura University and reservation policy of Government of Tripura for SC/ST candidates. |
3. Eligibility Criteria for Admission |
The eligibility criteria for General Category, Scheduled Tribe Category, and Scheduled Caste Category for applying admission to various programs of study are given in the Ramthakur College Annual Prospectus. |
4. Selection of Candidates |
(4.1) Separate merit lists are prepared for candidates belonging to the General Category, Scheduled Tribe Category and Scheduled Caste Category for each course of study under B.Sc. / B.Com. Programs as well as for each Honours course and general course with practical option under B.A. programs.
(4.2) For Honours courses, merit means total marks obtained in H.S.(+2) stage or its equivalent by a candidate plus marks obtained in the concerned subject. For General courses, merit means total marks obtained in H.S.(+2) stage or its equivalent.
(4.3) The final selection list of candidates is made through the college Admission Committee on the basis of merit in their respective categories. |
